Activity & Metrics

Activity & Metrics shows, for one account, every activity and customer metric your workspace tracks over a time range you pick, so you can see at a glance what changed, which products are in use, and what went quiet before a call or renewal conversation.

note

Activity & Metrics is enabled per workspace by FunnelStory while it rolls out. Where it's on, it replaces the Event Timeline, Activities and Signals and Account Metrics sub-tabs. Where it's off, those sub-tabs stay as they are.

Where to find it

Open an account from Accounts and go to Adoption → Activity & Metrics. Pick the range at the top right: Month, Quarter (the default), 6 months or Year. Everything on the page follows that range, and it carries over to the account's other tabs.

For a parent account, activities include its direct child accounts' activity. Metrics are the account's own.

The summary

Under the title, one sentence summarizes the account for the range: how many of its products have activity, which are declining or unused, what went quiet, and whether an allowance is near its limit. The line beneath gives the dates the page covers.

Product cards

Each product the account has gets a card with its status, a one-line insight (for example, its biggest drop or an allowance near its limit) and a bar showing how many of its items are active, dormant or never used.

StatusMeaning
GrowingIts items are mostly trending up.
DecliningIts items are mostly trending down.
MixedSome items are up and some are down.
SteadyIts active items are holding level.
Not in useNone of its items have activity in the range.

Products from your catalog that the account doesn't have are listed as Not purchased. Click a card to show only that product in What changed, Pinned and the list. Show all products clears it.

If your workspace has no product catalog, a single panel summarizes every tracked item instead, and the list below is one flat section.

What changed

What changed lists the account's biggest drops and biggest gains (up to five each) and the items that went quiet, each with its mini chart and change. Changes under 10%, and activities with fewer than 5 events in the range, are left out. The Pinned tab next to it shows the items you've pinned.

The list

Below, items are grouped into Customer engagement (meetings, EBRs, support tickets and similar), one section per product, and Account records for items that don't belong to a product. Products not in use start collapsed. Use the search box to find an item by name or ID across all sections.

Each row shows:

ColumnWhat it shows
NameThe activity or metric, with Pinned, Near limit or Went quiet badges.
Last rangeA weekly chart: bars for activity counts, a line for metric values, a fill bar for usage against an allowance. Every chart starts at zero. The two weeks the change compares are drawn darker.
ValueThe activity's count in the range, the metric's latest value, or used / allowance. Large numbers are shortened (81.9K); hover for the exact value.
ChangeHow the item moved across the chart, with the two weeks' values underneath (for example 14.4K → 0; hover for their dates), or New / Low vol. (see below).
Last seenWhen it last happened or was recorded.

Items the account has never had are listed as Never performed chips under each section, so no usage is visible too. "Never" means nothing in the last year.

Usage against an allowance

When a product feature is sold as an amount (for example seats), its allowance is on the account's subscription, and a metric measures it, the feature gets a usage row: used / allowance, with Near limit at 90% or more. An allowance with no usage in the range still shows as a row. See Products for setting up features and their metrics.

How change and status are worked out

  • Change compares the chart's first and last full weeks, which are highlighted in each chart. Weeks end on the last day of the range, so the oldest week is often shorter and is skipped; in the item details it's greyed out and labelled with its days. Change is empty when the range has fewer than two full weeks, when either week has no value, or when the first is 0.
  • An item is up or down when the change is 10% or more either way, and steady otherwise.
  • New is an active item whose first full week had nothing: it started within the chart.
  • Low vol. is an activity with fewer than 5 events in the range; it's left out of What changed.
  • An item is dormant when it has nothing in the range but something in the last year, and it went quiet when it was last seen within one range length before the range.
  • Never performed means nothing in the last year (two years for the 365-day range).

Item details

Click a row to open its details:

  • the numbers for its kind: the range total and change for an activity, the latest value and change for a metric, or used, allowance and utilization for usage;
  • what the change compares, for example "0 (week of Oct 5) vs. 14,402 (week of Sep 14)", or why there's no change;
  • a chart of the whole range, with the compared weeks highlighted;
  • when it was first and last seen;
  • for an activity, its events, newest first, with who did it (20 at a time; Load more for the next page);
  • for a metric, its value in each of the last four weeks.

Pin keeps an item in the Pinned tab. Pins are saved for you and apply to every account.
