FunnelStory 101
Follow Your First Week with FunnelStory — a day-by-day plan from connecting your data to running your first agent.
FunnelStory runs AI Outcome Agents for post-sales revenue. It turns your customer data into a context graph of accrued wisdom about every account, then runs agents on it that work toward a goal you set — reducing churn, growing expansion, taking busywork off your team — and measures progress every day.
How FunnelStory works
Every answer and every action in FunnelStory traces back through four layers:
- Data — your CRM, product usage, support tickets, meetings, email, and chat, connected and modeled around your accounts.
- Intelligence — what FunnelStory computes from that data: predictions of churn and retention, and needle movers, the leading indicators of risk and opportunity found in what customers say and do.
- Wisdom — the understanding of each account that builds up over time: who the stakeholders are and what they care about, how the relationship has changed, and what has worked before. See the Customer Intelligence Graph.
- Agents — work that runs on that wisdom: detecting a moment worth acting on, investigating the account, and acting — either drafting the next step for a person to approve (Assist) or doing it directly (Auto).
Because agents reason over computed, cited facts rather than raw data, their work is grounded in your book rather than a generic playbook.
What you can do
Know every account
- Account Dossier — an AI-maintained brief: stakeholders and their roles, current concerns and positive signals, and durable facts, each traced to its source.
- Relationship maps — who on your team talks to whom at the customer, and where coverage is thin.
- Account history — the story of the relationship on one page: renewals, expansions, risks, and upcoming meetings.
See risk and opportunity early
- Needle movers — pricing concerns, competitor mentions, champions leaving, feature requests, and more, surfaced from conversations months before renewal.
- Predictions — churn, neutral, or retention for every account, with the factors behind each.
- Focus Areas — your book of business, renewal pipeline, and open actions in one daily view.
Move revenue outcomes
- Outcome Agents — set a retention or expansion goal; FunnelStory finds the cohort of accounts that can reach it, recommends next best actions, and measures daily who's moving.
- Plays and Campaigns — recommended programs for groups of accounts that share a problem, and one-to-many email to a saved audience.
Put work on autopilot
- AI Agents — agents triggered by signals, needle movers, conversations, or a schedule, built on a canvas or described to Claude in plain language.
- Action Cards — the next step for an account, with reasoning and a drafted email, ready for a CSM to send.
- Meeting prep — a briefing in Slack before every customer meeting.
Work where you already work
- Claude and other AI assistants — connect over MCP and use the FunnelStory skills for account briefs, QBR decks, and churn reports.
- Slack and Microsoft Teams — notifications and agent alerts where your team talks.
- Your CRM — CRM sync and the HubSpot app card put FunnelStory data on the records your team already opens.
Where your data comes from
FunnelStory connects to the systems you already use. Start with your CRM or warehouse, then add the places customers talk to you.

How teams use FunnelStory
- CSMs and account managers start the day in Focus Areas, prepare for calls from the account page or Claude, and act on Action Cards and needle movers. See Prepare for a Customer Call.
- CS and revenue leaders set retention and expansion goals with Outcome Agents, watch risk across the book, and get recurring reports from agents instead of spreadsheets. See Prevent Churn with a Retention Outcome Agent and Turn Leadership Reporting into Agents.
- Ops and admins connect data, configure models and features, manage users and SSO, and build agents. See Configuration and Administration.
Product and marketing teams use the same context through Claude — for example, the feature-request and customer ROI story skills.
